What the fir?

I find it hard to believe that this is 8.5% abv. Very fruity with what I imagined to be berry and banana flavours, imagine my surprise at finding that it has never been anywhere near a banana, it being brewed with Tellicherry peppercorns, Douglas fir, pineapple juice & lemongrass.
I am not sure what part of the Douglas Fir is being used and for what purpose, I know the tips are edible and have a citrus taste and that the needles can be used to add bitterness.
An intriguing drink with a confusing taste. Not a 3/5 but also not a 4/5… maybe a 3.5. Not something I would go out of my way to drink again were it not for the fact that I have bought 2 cans of it!
I imagine it would be great sipping it while watching the summer sun set over the ocean… but on a cold winter evening in Belgium I wasn’t quite getting that vibe.
